icon_internshipsProAct offers a limited amount of internships for undergraduate and graduate studies each Fall, Spring, and Summer semester. All prospective ProAct interns must sign our Waiver.

Internships may be available for social work, marketing, graphic design, public relations, development, and more. For Master’s level social work we are only able to provide Masters of Social Work (MSW) supervision at this time.

Special Events Intern

Love to serve? Love working with youth? Love planning events? Apply to become a Special Events Intern with us!

We are creating three annual fundraising events that will help ProAct take our programs and services to the next level! Our Special Events Intern will be responsible for planning and executing these events year round. We plan to institute a Fundraising Gala, A Bubble Ball Tournament, and a Corporate Golf Outing.

As an Intern, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Complete ProAct 101 training course
  • Consent to a background check
  • Maintain a good driving record
  • Work alongside Program Director and Executive Director in order to complete weekly tasks for event maintenance
  • Maintain professionalism at all times
  • Effectively advancing the mission of ProAct Community Partnerships, Inc.

Applicants must demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills; Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing; Ability to positively interact with a variety of people, both internally and externally; Ability to work independently and make decisions which impact interrelated work and social groups; self-motivated; Demonstrate ability to take a project from beginning to end with minimal guidance; Consistently demonstrate diplomacy and tact and ability to handle confidential or sensitive information; Ability to make strong presentations; Ability to operate computer software i.e., operating in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Must demonstrate ability to lead with enthusiasm and strong passion for youth and community service. Preference to those applicants who possess event planning and/or fundraising experience.

Project>me Program Intern

Love to serve? Love working with youth? Apply to become a Project>me Program Intern!

Currently, our signature program, “Project (Greater Than) Me,” is expanding to new schools and areas in Indianapolis. We are seeking interns to lead our youth in weekly workshops and service projects in these schools. This internship will last for 24-weeks and is an intensive program in which interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills in order to be successful in a career in the nonprofit sector.

As an Intern, you must:
